BRAND = M2 MACHINES (CASTLINE)

M2/Castine makes high-quality nicely detailed diecast, with lots of doors and hoods that open, but like JL, they don't care about authenticity. Fortunately they have not produced a lot of police models, so I have no trouble avoiding them. The three I own were just whims, none really fits my standard, though the third does have a black&white paintjob.

Their models are all packaged in plastic boxes, and screwed onto a plastic base - sometimes too well screwed, frankly - I like my cars loose, and find all that extra packaging annoying.

They also make red repair shop-style lifts that I favored for a while, but they do not work well for non-M2 cars, and can't really be stacked reliably more than four high, despite their ads - I had to glue mine.

Transaparent, which was a gimmick I could not resist, especially since the one above is the same casting. Very nice.
